Adblockplus.

^^ Ditto

The best-performing adblocker (according to Computeractive) is uBlock Origin.

I find it better than Adblockplus, which I used to use.

ublock origin, been using it for years.. firefox or chrome browser

Where are you Naomi and SecretMod ?? This post is breaking Site Rules get a grip you pair.

Some people are so rude. And which rule is it breaking? Maybe give a link to the rule? Okay?

I haven't seen anything on this thread that breaks Site Rules

"17. Any instances of members recommending other members to download an AdBlock for use on The AnswerBank will be removed"

Do you agree, gulliver?

Barry 16 37 ...rule 17 ..spot on . Do not tell NMA @ 16.33 .Because he thinks I am being so rude... OK ..

^not quite spot on. Nobody has suggested an adblocker be used on here, have they?

Gingejbee @ 17.09 "not quite spot on .Nobody has suggested an adblocker on here have they"....Yes they have ...You did @ 15.51.

No rules have been broken on this thread.  You must be seeing things, gully

I use Brave browser and do not get ads.

GULLY, your "quote" missed out,  "be used".

gulliver @ 17.30...selective reading. As others can see (but you obviously can't) I did not suggest an adblocker BE USED on Answerbank.

For clarification . . .

AB used to show ads to members who were logged in.  Therefore, in order to protect AB's revenue, suggestions for using ad blockers were banned.  At the moment though, there are no ads on AB to be blocked, meaning that there shouldn't really be a problem with posts about ad blockers.

I use Slimjet as my browser, which comes with a built-in ad blocker enabled by default: https://www.slimjet.com/

As a bit of an aside, anyone who gets fed up of all the ads on YouTube might care to try using FadBlock, which works on Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers, such as Slimjet) and Firefox.  It doesn't actually block the ads but it makes them play so fast that they disappear in just a fraction of a second, so that they're hardly noticeable at all.

is that as well as or instead of, Buenchico?

^^^ I use Slimjet to block ads retrieved from third party servers, Jno, but with FadBlock installed to effectively remove YouTube ads as well.
