Those teeny tiny boxes that you can clip on to the back of monitor.

I'd like user opinions and the reasons for buying, please

Yep, it's about 2 beer mats x 2 beer mats, plug everything into it works a treat. £225.

Why did you plump for a mini pc, TTT?

Have you got a huge monitor?

Computeractive magazine had a recent expansive feature article about them...including Best buys. They seem to rate them highly.

I've not bothered with them as I have got so many other machines and dont have a spece problem.

They are very good for average computing, some claim to be 'gaming' but I'd take that with a pinch of salt as a dog video card costs more than many of these and you only get what you pay for.

Heat of course can be a problem as the processor gets bigger and small fans can be noisy but really do you need a massive processor in one of these?

They seem a great idea for running the everyday stuff in life.

barry: "Why did you plump for a mini pc, TTT?Have you got a huge monitor" - It's what I use in my home office for work, I have 2 large monitors plugged into it.

Size of monitor shouldnt matter as the monitor(s) are powered separately.  Some phones can even use them through USB-C/HDMI if built with the feature.

So I woldnt worry about that Barry.

Young, hard to compare a mini PC to a huge water cooled top of the range gaming PC costing £3k +.

I can see the convenience of them, though

Young, I was asking about the monitor simply because I can't see any reason for buying one if it's connected to a small monitor, might as well use a laptop.

I do like very big monitors

Its actually not hard at all.  As I said right up top (11:31) these are great for run of the mill computing but they are not going to be high end gaming machines.

As with everything in life you get what you pay for, but I think they are a good idea as many buy (or get sold) a machine far greater than they need.

Personally I dont use PC's for gaming I prefer dedicated machines so we have a PS3/4 & 5 plus a Wii for the young kids.

I think a mini PC and large monitor would be a better option than an all in one PC
