I don't know your particular printer, so I can't answer that. I only know the inkjet printers are famous for the heads getting clogged and needing frequent cleaning, which is why I changed to laserjet. You will have to look in the manual unless someone more familiar with your printer can help.
Glad it worked, tamaris. It seems the rule with inkjets is "Use it or lose it". I only ever used mine infrequently and reckoned I used more ink cleaning the heads than I did printing; hence my switch to laserjet. They're more expensive but work every time, even after a long break.
