When I'm either burning a cd, or ripping files from a cd onto my pc, it interferes with the sound coming from the speakers.

This is a new problem, and when the cd has stopped ripping/burning, the problem goes away.

Anyone any ideas?

That is strange! Try right-clicking the volume icon in your system tray (by the clock) and selecting "Open Volume Control" then click Options/Properties and tick all the boxes. Experiment with the volume levels of things which sound relevant...

Just a suggestion lol
