Microsoft Word - WHY if I want a border around my page, when I go to print preview or actually print it, the bottom line of my border does not print? I've never been able to print a border!

Off the top of my head....

Are you perhaps printing in Letter format. This is an american format that is just a bit shorter than UK A4.

Or is your Windows or Word set up for US layout rather than UK.

I have found this too.

When you go to print, go into your printer's properties. On one of the tabs (layout, perhaps?), you can see how large the printed page will be (100%, 98%, etc.). Change it to make it about 98% of the page, i.e. shrink it down very slightly.

That sorted it for me anyway, when I had that problem.
The answers are correct, your page length is to long. Make sure that page setup is A4 (if that's what you're printing on). Instead of print preview goto 'view' and 'print layout' which will show you how your pages are layed out. Alternatively, use print preview which will show you with a dotted line where your page breaks are.
Are you printing to an inkjet or a laser. I found that there is a minimum bottom margin for inkjets (especially Epson). I eventually found that the bottom margin musn't be less than 1.8cm.

Thanks everyone - will give some of your ideas a go! It's an Epson inkjet wideboy, so maybe that's the problem!

Thanks x

Could also check the size of headers and footers as if the border is lower(or Higher if header) then the top of the footer it wont print.
