I listened last night to LBC and some callers were aghast saying it was far too soon and they were ‘scared’, my own take on it, if you’re scared, stay with the advice of the last 3 months , if not, then ease yourself into normal slowly As I intend to do

I have a hair appointment booked for 9.00am 4th July (booked ages ago, hairdresser comes to my house). Can't wait to get dressed up and go for a meal, my holiday to the Lakes in October looks like it will happen. Life returning to normal. I think we are kidding ourselves if we think this virus is going away, it won't. SparklyKid is right, it will kill more people,...

For everyone's sake I hope is persists down on the fourth of July or its going to be manic. When they let people drive for exercise a few weeks ago the Police had to come up here and clear the roads as so many people had parked on the sides of the small country roads the whole area was blocked.
I won't be gong to a cinema or restaurant for the foreseeable future but will venture down to the local pub to sit outside in the beer garden.
yes, we are going slowly. My parent's are coming on Friday to sit in the garden for afternoon tea
I shall take it slowly, I have nothing planned.

Same here, no running to the nearest pub, hairdressers maybe :0)
Yes, I think hairdressers will be busy.
Cautious for us. It will take some getting used to. Just back from Morrisons as well as click and collect Asda. Hardly any shoppers at Morrisons.
We are having drinks with friends, who have just come out of sheltering, tomorrow afternoon in their garden. My hairdressers appointment was booked a couple of weeks ago for the 15th July.

I’ll blackmail mine Marval, I think he’s going to he’s going to propose to his partner and I’ll be at the ‘party’ I’m sure they’ll want me looking good?
I am pleased for others....for me it won't make much difference.
The only thing that concerns me is that when infections begin to rise again (as they surely will) the government does not see fit to reintroduce the insane measures we have seen over the last three months.
pressed send too soon.....it won't make much difference because of my circs, very small family who I don't see often and very old dog who dislikes the heat so we will be at home anyway.
NJ //insane measures//
It is very likely that those measures saved quite a lot of lives,so hardly insane.

I’m keeping Lola inside the cool house today woof, even if it means I’m with her as she has separation issues
Maybe time to let nature take it's course, and there is nothing coarser than mother nature.

Perhaps it is time for a population cull.

Good news is that Asda substituted click and collect £5 wine for £6.25 wine at same price, a fiver.

Happy days.

Always a silver lining SK :0)

I think we are kidding ourselves if we think this virus is going away, it won't. SparklyKid is right, it will kill more people, just as the flu, and many other viruses do. I hope lockdown is not re-introduced, I think people won't be as compliant next time. As long as huge amounts of people aren't admitted to hospital, I see no reason to lockdown again. Like it or not herd immunity, is what matters now.
NJ what measures would you put in place?
Yes Rab doesn't like to be left. I don't like the heat either and am not at all bothered about not going out so we do fine together

I bought an inflatable pool for her but she doesn’t like water either :0/
