...for Eurosceptics, I mean. Am watching Sky News.

Apparently a coalition of "ditch the euro" parties is not allowed to have a "ditch the euro" finance minister. Not EU/sharia compliant you see - "No spooks in my family", RIP Errol Brown)

What's that noise?

It's the sound of the EU crumbling, right before our very eyes.

I hope you're right, ChillDoubt.

But I hope, too, that the collapse happens in a controlled way. Like the massive edifice is empty and implodes down, not full of people and falling sideways. 9/11 got the second bit right.

But I think the Merkels, the Tusks and the Junckers will take the whole of Europe down with them rather than relinquish their dream, retire to the bunker and do the decent thing.
The Italian president (did anyone even know his name before this cropped up) has made an unnecessary constitutional problem.

Strange turn of phrase, lol.
Hope you're right.
Even the Queen only chooses her PM and leaves the choice of other ministers up to him/her.

Do we know who the IMF gauleiter who is now appointed to form a new government of a "sovereign" nation is?

What's the Italian for gauleiter?

Where's Peter Pédant when you need him?
// 9/11 got the second bit right.//

................

What?

The building didn't fall sideways.
Question Author
Neither of them.
So you want the EU to collapse like the twin towers.

What a peculiar analogy.
The Queen doesn’t choose the PM.

Either you're being very crass, or I'm explaining myself very poorly.

Let's go with the latter theory give I'm not not half as arrogant as AB's senior trolls.

I want the EU to fail. Got that bit?

And I want Europe and its historic national states and their great cultures to prosper.

I'm not ashamed to quote Reagan and welcome the end of an "Evil Empire".

//the queen doesn't choose the PM//

The Queen is responsible for appointing the Prime Minister after a general election or a resignation, in a General Election The Queen will appoint the candidate who is likely to have the most support of the House of Commons. In the event of a resignation, The Queen listens to advice on who should be appointed as their successor.
Another example of the left wing mobsters undermining a democratic vote and attempting to overturn a vote that is very much anti EU. Notice any similarities with events closer to home? The malign influence and determination of the EUSSR is there for all to see once again. Globalisation and the secret rule of millions, by unelected bag carriers, and money launderers, for the likes of Soros and Branson. Things may well have to get "nasty" before we break the shackles.

'may "inevitably...' ?
Interesting.

Of course, in their Constitution he does have the right so I guess what the Italians need to do is elect a Eurosceptic President.

However, even if he is in the right it seems a very daft thing to do, all it has done is stoke the fire and awaken the press (and not just in his country).

Italy has some major problems both financial and with immigration the EU seem unwilling to help. Being tied to the Euro was a fateful mistake of course the country is effectively tied to the German masters which is a far more powerful economy so like Greece (and other PIIGS) the Italians will struggle.

Who knows what will happen. Perhaps the Italians will 'vote the right way next time' ? Or keep voting until they do maybe?
Lol yes the Monster Raving Loony Party and the Yorkshire Independence Party look at the results and get together thinking that might form a coalition of the lame-headed. With a raft of economic policies that would bankrupt Italy. Many of the suggested candidates of ministerial posts are mutually adverse, but when they finally agree on Jimmo Davidsoni as Chancellor the president says : Enough!!
There’ll be new elections.
Not quite Ick, he only objected to the one minister.
