I am going to buy a small portable Bluetooth speaker, for my laptop on Amazon, and it dosent mention a cable for charging the battery.

As its Bluetooth, will it need one ? Thanks, not a bright spark with technology, must be my age :-(

My Bluetooth shower speaker came with a very sort USB to mini jack for charging.
It'll be in the box.

Yes, it will need a battery. Put a link to it and maybe we can figure it out.
It may use standard AA batteries

Not all need batteries. I bought one in the sale from Tesco a year or so back, came with a charging lead.

The usb lead recharges the internal battery.

Exactly, it’ll probably be an internal li ion rechargeable battery, not a AA.
