I have a five year old Dan desktop computer.  Unfortunately Dan ceased trading a few years ago, and my PC now needs a new CMOS battery, to keep the clock working while it's switched off.  I was wondering if anyone knows of a Dan users group where I can find out which battery to buy for it.  Any help would be much appreciated!

If you are happy to remove the cover of your PC this is not too difficult to do yourself.

Remove the cover and you can see the motherboard.

The battery is on the motherboard and should be silver and about the size of a 10 pence piece.

The battery will have its type on it, XX123 for example.

You should be able to get a new one from PC World or any PC supply shop.

It is easy to take out the old one and refit it.
