Go Pro Or Similar

hi i was thinking of getting my husband a sports camera for christmas - he would like to be able to film his sport so he can watch it back and see where improvements can be made. As his sport is archery, it will need to be able to go on a tripod to capture him (perhaps slo-mo too) and he would like to watch back on the TV.
Does any one have any recommendations? i only put go pro because it's the only one i've heard of!

He might already have a slow motion camera on his mobile phone. Most recent models of iphone and android devices tend to have it, and it works pretty well.

I've used it in the past to work on my golf swing. Not sure about the tripod but I imagine you'd be able to find one online.
