Photos On An Iphone 6

Someone has sent me a photo as an email attachment, to my iphone 6, and its come through load and clear.

But how do I save this photo to my iphone "photos" thingy ?

Tap and hold the picture and the Control Centre pops up to select any of several icons...you should slide to reveal iCloud Photo Sharing and tap that.

Jom...this doesn't work. When I tap the photo, I just get copy or select all !

Why can't I just save the bloody photo to the photos section ?

Hold your finger over the image and some icons will pop up one should be 'Save Image' tap and your picture should appear in 'photos' in your 'camera roll'.

When I tap and hold for a second or two and release the Control Centre pops up...

tap the photo so it is showing on the screen on its own.

You should then see a box with an arrow sticking out of it in the bottom left hand corner - tap it and up will come loads of options - bottom line first one should say save image tap that.

Mikey4444 you have to hold your finger on the image for a second or two and then you will get the option to save it. If you just tap twice you only get the option to copy or select all.

When you select copy....where do you think it saves it to?

If Mikey isn't getting the control centre options it is possible that the picture isn't an attachment but a link to the picture on a hosting site. Mikey, when you get the 'copy' option up what does it say in grey at the top of the box?

Just select 'copy' and it saves it to your photos. Stop over complicating things.
