...I,like many others who post on this site have a connection that keeps dropping out but none of us have any solutions.I have been doing a bit of research in an effort to resolve this once and for all and am finding that most people who have this problem are only reporting it in the evenings ie daytime it is fine.Anyone else agree with this ? It certainly is the case for me as at the moment at night I can barely stay connected for 5 minutes! I found a forum where people say it happen ayt night due to street lights. Please post with your comments to allow us to build some form of database.

Thanks.

I'm no boffin or anything like that, but could it be connected to the recently reported rise in "sun spot" activity, and solar interference.  Just a thought!
...Got to be "Global Warming" which automatically makes it the fault of Prime Minister Blair....<G>
Who are you with for your broadband ??  All I can say is that I have lived in three different counties, one of them quite remote and have been on broadband with BT for over four years and my connection has only dropped out once for 40 mins and they told me exactly when it would be back and even rang me again in the morning to make sure it was all right !   I moved house only the other day and the broadband was up and running before I moved in and has been on ever since.
Perhaps lady_p_gold may have  hit on something mentioning  the choice of ISP - or possibly where you live, or even just  the luck of the draw. I've been with Tiscali now for over a year and the connection has remained constant......so far!

the problem isnt isp related as previous posters of this problem on here have all had different providers.maybe its an exchange thing as i do know at least 2 other people at work who share my exchange who also suffer drop-outs but reading from various forums on the internet, not everyone is from my neck of the woods !

I am also being affected with the connection being dropped. I have also heard about these solar flares, though I cant understand how this could affect it.

I know 2 other people both having similar problems from different parts of Leeds with different service providers, there seems to be no common denominator that I can peice together.

BTW I am from Leeds using Plusnet

Anyone any ides, as the whole thing is getting worse and I am getting annoyed with having to reset the modem/router every 5 minutes.
