The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Has anyone given a 'run through' with Malwarebytes.....the free edition of course.

I would like to know the reason for the duplication/triplication of answers.
Perhaps there is a malware issue somewhere.

Hans.
I have Malwarebytes running in the background and a scan shows nothing
Question Author
hans have done complete malwarebytes check and a complete kaspersky full scan ...nothing came up
Then there is a fault on AB and something for the Ed to sort-out as a priority issue.

At the moment I am operating with Windows Vista and Firefox without any problems.

Hans.
Just run another update from Kaspersky and logged on to Answerbank with no problem
Not totally sure who fixed it
Just had response from Kaspersky requesting further information on the fault so don't know what to say
Logging on is not such a problem as Firefox remembers the password and logs in automatically. Chrome & Edge required me to log in and claimed to have a null response, but the back button proved it had logged on.

Just returned to retry, and I can't even get my profile up. Like posting an answer it just moans about the server resetting the line or something like that.

I can't see why Kaspersky can't investigate for themselves, but I guess they don't want to register here. It'd be the easiest way to get first hand data though, instead of bothering the customer.

Welcome to the user forum!

Try this: Settings > Protection> Web Anti-Virus > Advanced Settings > Configure Trusted URL's > Add

From the HELP menu:

This list includes web addresses of websites whose content you trust. Web Anti-Virus does not scan the content of URLs from this list. You can add either a trusted web address or an address mask to the list.

If the Active value is set in the address line in the Status column, Web Anti-Virus does not scan the content of web pages with this web address.

If the Inactive value is set in the address line in the Status column, Web Anti-Virus scans the content of web pages with this web address.
