I hope not Daisy, I'd miss you x
I find them sort of hypnotic, I'm sure the novelty will wear off - you'll be fine.
You will have to jump up very quick or you will have pinched cheeks!!!!!

It has already tried to engulf me
No...but you'll spend hours playing with it......betting on how long it takes to close.....holding the loo brush in til it has almost shut and pulling it out without touching....all clear.....three points.....almost clear....two points.....trapped....one point.....

Hours of fun you'll have, Daisy......☺
They should put a warning label on them similar to the ones on folding baby-carriages: "Please Remove Baby Before Folding!"
Has it?? How odd, the ones I have used don't start to close until you touch them.

You must have a different one.
No, we have those. Just a little push with the finger and it closes all by itself. It won't close whilst you are sitting there. Don't worry.
I saw Gness and loo seat in latest posts and feared the worst!
They are great Daisy
Had a bit of an accident with ours not long before Christmas when the soft close failed !!!!.
Ouch, Tony!
Mrs Av....................................! Help!
Pain in the bum...
I bought a new loo seat in B&Q about 12 years ago.On return from holiday our original was demolished whilst son looked after and protected the house ????
When my gadget crazy cousin's husband needed the loo on a visit one Sunday for lunch his first comment was,"I see you have one of those new self closing lids. Any good. Must get one" :-)
Yep !!!!!!
Never mind though, changed it for a new one ( toilet seat that is ).
