I have used the above prog. to get a required route,is it possible to drag the "blue line" onto another route? Thanks.

No. You're better using Google Maps for that.

Once you've put in your journey, you can click on the blue line and drag it to another road.
Google Earth is not updated very often so I`m not sure any routes would be that accurate - the average satnav has 4 updates a year and the aa route finder and michelin counterpart are more or less updated continuously. As a side issue the Google Earth program is a classic example of bloatware.

The AA Classic Route Planner is very easy to use and will provide an on-screen Map which you can click onto and move around to see other routes.
