I have always resisted updating my iPad to iOS 7 because everyone who ever does it seems to wish they hadn't, and moans about it.

But there are a few apps that require iOS 7.

So okay .. how badly will it *** up my iPad if I update to iOS 7 ?

And it doesn't affect any saved data?

I recently update my ipad2 to IOS8 and really wish I hadn't.
Everything seems to have slowed up and It also seems to freeze up much more often than it ever did.

Oh, cripes.

So was 7 okay, ladyalex?
I now have IOS 8.2 no problems. Before updating make sure your apps are up to date if not delete them. Then update and then reinstall apps. Turn device off completely and back on. You should have no problems.

Methyl, I don't know. Can I look somewhere?
My ipad2 was recently updated to IOS8.1
I think it is slower than it was before and crashes much more often than it ever did before.
It says that it is fully up to date, so I have no knowledge of IOS8.2

As far as I am aware, I was using IOS7 before and it was much better.
So, to answer your question, joggerjayne, go for it with IOS7.
LadyAlex, if it is your safari that is slow try this. Go into safari and open up about 6 different web pages. When you have them all open pinch in the screen and 6 boxes will appear., a box for each web page. Tap one of them and it should have speeded up.
Thank you Sycamore3hous

I have just tried that and will let you know if it works.
