Are traffic enforcement officials in camera-equipped cars allowed to park where they like while they do their enforcing? I saw one today park and re-park several times on single yellow lines, (the camera was rear-facing in the back window).

Depends what the restrictions were, they do have to remain within the law.

LOL ...thanks for that - priceless.

Were they within the allocated times?

///A single yellow line is a road marking that is present on the side of the carriageway in the United Kingdom. It indicates that parking or waiting at that roadside is prohibited at certain times of day. The exact times vary by area and are indicated by signs at the roadside.///
Where I live they park wherever they wish. The cars are surrounded by cones and now they've been fitted with flashing lights,I saw one last week parked in a bus stop layby.
