didn't take long and I don't know how this happens, someone here will give me the obvious answer I know.....☺

I have received two emails on different days. Both are from Joe Bloggs to John Doe....not their real names obviously....and are the only two names on the emails. They are two men....not companies or businesses.

My name and email address appears nowhere on the emails....one is some photographs of people I don't know...the other looks like a short reply to a request for some information that means nothing to me.....

I am not going to contact either person...but I am curious as to how they came to me...

BCC is useful for dropping people in the sh1te. If someone is harassing you using the work email system, you can respond and BCC the exchange to your boss/staff welfare team etc. The BCC destination is not visible to the harasser. }:-)
@jim360.....//Who uses Bing though// ^^

I do. I have severed all connections with Google because of its intrusiveness.

Everytime you 'Google' there is information being collected from your computer. Try it and discover that an innocent posting to say M & S will result in lots of adverts for M & S appearing on your AB pages, if you are open to adverts.

It seems odd even so to run from the intrusiveness of large technology companies by choosing Microsoft instead...

Hans....both mails and males.....as ever....☺

No one is offering me a service....I don't think they know I'm receiving the emails....if that's what you're saying....

I don't know Bing......and now this thread is looking complicated....xx
@jim360....I am willing to take a chance and bet that you are using Microsoft's Windows.

@gness...I am trying to keep to the subject matter but would wish you to know that I am a silly old softie :-) Incidentally, Bing is a Search Engine which is as Good as Google but isn't continually searching through your Computer/Laptop for personal information.

Thank you......I see...so if I use Bing I don't get endless emails offering me power tools and new bathrooms just because I mention them?
gness....Take the test...Bing -v- Google and see what you think.

I will thanks, Hans.....x....

Good site for learning is AB.....could even be Gness proof...☺
I use Bing more these days, but still Google fractionally more often. Bing seems less filtered, but has no Froogle type option. That said Google's shopping page doesn't seem as good as it used to be. I don't understand the 'relevance' sort at all. If the item isn't relevant why is it in the darned list ? One sorts on price only to find they put loads of utter garbage, hardly related to what you asked about, for you to try to get past. Not unknown for a resort to change the number of available pages too, so how is sorting going to reduce the list length ???
