we had a 3 day escape to Exmoor. lovely time. fantastic, beautiful scenery. good food. good pubs. even managed to find some shade to walk in.

(note to minty - I did keep well covered up so no real probs there. a bit difficult at times but . . . .).

aww, were you visiting an inmate, milady.
You couldn't have wished for better weather. I went along the coast there the other day in a boat and it was glorious. Yesterday we went to Lundy and I have never seen so many puffins and the dolphins were having a field day leaping around the boat. I think it's going to be a good season for tourism this year.
Exmoor is lovely. Good to see you back and that you had a good time xx

I lived in Watchet as a kid and I agree...the area is lovely and very unspoiled.

stayed at weddon cross and then went around to somewhere else each day.
know dulverton well but had not been to porlock weir before. walking came across amazing little church at stoke pero. lovely woods to walk through there as i was trying to keep out of the sun. lovely on dunkery beacon but too exposed for me this time so maybe later in the year.

used to go walking on Dartmoor during November - best time.

everything well covered up tone. needs to ne a lot less sunny for meto expose myself. masochism.. remember i'm a nun. it was bl***y hot just as it is today. like a sauna out there. fancy being within walking distance of the pub every evening. did a bit of quality testing. need to go back to do some more.

hi DTC. no missed all that. what happened? did meet a couple from Essex who now lived in Camborne. had done for 40+ years and she worked at helston cottage H and has a friend in mullion married to someone with a common name here. now trying to work out if I know her.
