I have the 7 inch version which I find handy but typing text is driving me mad ! How do you make the keyboard go away, so you can read your text before submitting ? I am using the tablet now and its difficult to press submit, as the keyboard is in ths way !

Just had a play with the kids 7 inch samsung. All I can suggest is turning the tablet to vertical from horizontal, the text you have written and the keyboard are both visible when the tablet is vertical.

Thanks roy...I can try that but there must be some way of making the keyboard disappear. I shall await developments...AB has rarely let me down !
Tap the orange bit of the text box, mikey
Basically you need to tap outside of the text box to be rid of the keyboard.
This is written on a Samsung, Mikey. When you want the keyboard to disappear, just tap the orange border of the text box.

Thanks guys ! This has been driving me mad for months !
Did you realise that you can also handwrite, instead of typing ?

Did you, Mikey?^

Sorry Tilly, I must have missed your reply.

No I didn't !...elucidate please !
MorningMikey. When your keyboard is showing , there is a key at the bottom which has a capital T and a pencil. If you press that key, the keyboard changes into a piece of paper and you can use your fingertip or stylus to handwrite. It's really clever. Have a play.

I can't find this on my tablet ( samsung GALAXY Tab 2 7.0)

Perhaps you a newer version of this device ?
Oh, sorry. Mine's a 10.1
Question Author
Oh well, it doesn't matter very much, but thanks anyway.

I bought mine in January 2013, from Tesco, and when you factor in the cash-back deal on offer at the time, it only cost £105 ! I see the newer 8 inch version is more than twice that now, so I reckon I had a good bargain here.

I now have 3 laptops, my wonderful desk-top, with a 32 inch screen ( ! ) and an iphone, so I hope I am fully covered IT-wise !

How did we manage 20 years ago ?
I had a quill pen and a piece of parchment.

I had a Parker 51 fountain pen, the best that Parker ever made.

It that was found in the back of my Grandfather's London Black Cab on VE Day, which wasn't claimed 3 months later, so my Mum was given it, and passed it on to me when I was 16. I still have it and use it most days. It is my most precious possession and it will be the second thing I grab if my house catches fire. My Yorkie will be the first !

But I do like my computers you know !
my 4 year old daughter has a 7" samsung tablet, even she understands how to use it.

What a childish comment beez, or did your 4 year old daughter post this ?
