Chrome And Bt Yahoo Mail

When I changed over to use Chrome instead of IE earlier this year, I couldn't get my emails from BY Yahoo, and had to use IE for that purpose only.

But I now find it does work from within Chrome, or nearly every time at least. Can anyone shed any light on this please. I thought that there was a basic incompatibility between Chrome and Yahoo ?
