Subscribed Threads On Ab

I accidentally acquired a subscribed thread on AB. How do I get rid of it ? It's annoying me !

click on unsubscribe next to the report button

Open the thread and at the question box you will see an option to 'unsuscribe'.

I might sound daft, but what happens when you subscribe a thread? Why do people do it?

I subscribe to threads when I want to see the responses - if you subscribe, ellie, you get notified when there are responses, and you have a separate box on the right of the AB screen (under the Latest Posts) showing your subscribed threads.
