Problem With Wifi

I have an Acer Veriton Pc and a Dell Inspiron 10 wireless laptop.
The problem is where i live there is no easy WiFi signal.
If I could set up a network between the two computers would I still need WiFi for te Laptop.Thank you to all who can help.

I don't quite understand your question Dee. With a modem/router you can set up your own wifi.
