I have an iPhone 4 with 8GB of memory and I have used up most of my memory. I want to update to ios 6 but don't want to delete too much of my stuff, somewhere it says that iOS 6 only takes up 599 mb of memory button jug need 2.5Gb to spare- is this true? And if it is- if I sync all my photos onto the laptop and delete them off my phone and then get ios 6, and then put some of the photos back on but not all will that be okay?

I upgraded my 3s this morning. OS6 doesn't appear to have taken up much more space than before, but your right to move your photos off your phone before the upgrade and then see what space yo have to move them back. It may be that few features actually work on the 3s hence the small size. Getting a 5 in a few weeks so only a temporary issue.
