Can anyone tell me if there is a mobile phone that can pick up Kindle downloads ?
It seems quite stupid to me to own a mobile/cell phone & have to buy a special machine ( Kindle) to be able to receive book downloads.

I can use Kindle Amazon Mobile - you will still have to pay for the books I imagine though, unless they are free books - I've not tried it
You can get lots of free books on the Kindle

There are Kindle readers for iPhone, Ipad, Android, PC, and Mac.
