Apple Ipad

I want to buy an Apple Ipad but am not sure which I should buy. I need it just for general things - emails, downloading apps, iplayer, storing photos etc. I dont want to pay the earth - would and ipad 2 fit the bill? Many thanks

We opted for the Ipad 3, but take a look at the side by side comparison... (we're in the U.S.)
iPad2 will do you very well.
We've got an iPad 1 and an iPad 3 - the picture and sound quality on the later one is loads better (but you would probably only notice if you had them side-by-side).
Yepp....I agree with hc......Ipad 2 will do you.

Many thanks for the answers. Amazon seems to have a good value Ipad 2 at the moment - so I may go for that.
