how do I sync music to phone & photos from phone onto laptop? have connected usb,but what do I do next?

samsung phone email

Have recently purchased samsung GT -E2600 phone.Had trouble at first setting email up but with assistance from virgin succeeded.Now when I try to send a picture by email get the message image too...
