Skype - Port for incoming connections

I've just installed Skype, and as I clicked on the Advanced Connection settings, it says "Use port _ for incoming connections" (with no port number specified). Underneath this it says "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections" with a check mark next to it (which I didn't put there - it was installed with those settings). Meanwhile I made changes to other settings (such as the Call settings), and as I clicked Save, an information box appears with the message "Invalid port" (even though I didn't enter or change anything in the Port settings). Skype apparently won't allow me to save any of its other altered settings without entering the "correct" port number in the Port settings. Does anyone know what port number I must fill in? I know nothing about ports. If it will help, I'm using Windows 7 (86-bit). Thank you

86 bit? wow you've got a copy of windows (and computer) from the future! (it's 64 bit BTW)

Port 50123 is generally the standard but leave the tick in the user other port box too.

Chuck, I filled in the port number you suggested and it saved successfully - now we'll see what happens when I use Skype - thank you for your suggestion.
