"No Signal" After Re-Tuning Freeview Box

Two nights ago, I was watching tv in bed and suddenly the picture went off and a "No Signal" message appeared.

I reinstalled it but again this message came up again.

Last night I started again from scratch and got all the programmes but again, after about 15 minutes the same thing happened. My tv is about 10 years old and when I retuned that, all I could get was BBC2.

Any ideas to solve this? I like the telly on while I'm reading, as it keeps me company. Sad, I know.

Are you using an Indoor or Roof Top Aerial ?
Are you also doing a complete Full Re-Scan, and has your Area switched over completely to Digital ??
My tv on an old ariel is affeted by bad weather. No signal this morning.
Have you checked the connections on your co-ax (aerial) cable? They can sometimes need stripping back and refitting.

I'm using a roof-top aerial which was just fitted last year to my bedroom. I'll check for the switch-over. I'm in Northumberland.
Switchover for Northumberland is September this Year....just checked !
Being as you seem to have a good Roof Top Aerial, do a Full re-scan and also check all Scart and relevant Co-ax Cable connections in case of loose leads
I'm in South Northumberland (really Tyne and Wear but I'm a bit of a snob). This happens to me from time to time. I find that switching the set top box off for 30 seconds then switching it back on solves the problem without having to rescan.
Has your remote got a tv/av button? You could be viewing the wrong AV output.

Lol mike11111. I was born just off the Coast Road and have been moving North ever since.
All I've managed to do is move from Wallsend to Whitley Bay.
