This is one part of the cost, others to follow.

The culture department has estimated that the extra bank holiday could cost Britain's ailing economy £1.2bn.

Myself, I think H.M. deserves the acknowledgment from the UK + the Commonwealth for the work she does, It's the hanger ons that need to be sorted.

I'm not a Royalist by any means but I do think this Jubilee has lifted a lot of peoples spirits, and you will find that although a lot of people have moaned about the celebrations most will all have read or watched some part of it.
I also think the Queen didn't choose to be born into this family but she has done her job to the best of her ability and deserves respect from her family which when you listen to Charles that's a lot of respect for a Mama, and she deserves respect from this country.
How long ago was that?

I don't remember 'The Bull' but I often went in 'The bird in Hand'

The Bird in Hand is closer to the Sepulchre church.

The Bull was demolished to enable the widening of the Barrack Road/Grafton Street crossroads.

As was pointed out earlier. 2012 is a Leap Year so the workers will have worked the same number of days at year's end.
