Adding an email line to access database

I need the facility to show email addresses on my database. I have added the title and space for the email ok, BUT when I add an email to one record, that email address shows on ALL the records. I think I need to do something in properties but I have no idea what it is...could any one point me in the right direction? Thanks

As you've not said what database you are using I doubt anyone will be able to give a constructive answer.

1) Go into design view of the table.

2) Remove the default entry value from the newly created email field.
