bt

I am on BT line and usually I delete my answer messages quite quickly. However friend tried to phone me last night and wanted to leave me a message but lady comes on saying messages are full so I went to delete them off using the 3 (delete) button but wont let me use the 3 button to delete them off. Can anybody advise before I have hassle to contact BT and wait for ages. Thanks

You're talking about messages left on the 1571 service? From my memory, Don't you have to access each message individually (as if you are going to listen to it) and then delete it? Then, on to the next.....

You are correct but lady says press 1 to listen press 2 for something (I am deaf so dont know what she is really saying) but then she says press 3 to delete but my phone wont go onto 3 number if you get this gibberish.

Just twigged there - I had to listen to each message again to delete them off. So I have just done that and everything is back to normal. Thanks Gingerbee
If the memory is full of messages, my only suggestion is to listen to the first one in full and THEN try deleting. If this doesn't work....call to BT, I'm afraid.
Sorry, posts crossed. Glad it's sorted!!
