Hi Chuck. Hope you can help again. I am finding my system ( W7 + Firefox ) very slow, when I click to change a page for instance it takes for ever. I have gone in to msconfig & when I click on start there is a whole load of items ticked, I am reluctant to untick anything without knowing what I am doing, can you suggest essentials that I need to be ticked ?. I have also scanned with Malwarebytes & Superantispyware but still very slow. TIA.

Does this only happen on web pages, because if so it is more likely to be your broadband speed than a problem with your computer.

What broadband speed are you paying for and what are you getting.

Maybe run a broadband speed tester to see what it says (run a few different testers at a few different times of the day and night).

Even clicking to change to another Topic or to Submit a question or answer in A/B has become a nightmare.

Is the PC slow when not on the internet? for example, when opening word processing documents or photo folders.

VHG we are with BT Broadband but with another P/C in the house using same B/B no trouble.

Ok guys. A serious virus issue. When I scanned I went for quick scans, now done complete scans
