just received kindle touch thro post tried to register but keep getting scan complete but the next step for wi fi conn keep seeing password incorrect yet i can get into my google acc using this going round in circles i realise theres a help line but cant get thro .any help would be appreciated

the passwork will be for your router, not your google account. Normally found on the back of the router

Your question is a bit confusing. What has your Google account password got to do with it? It's asking for the security key for you wifi router.

Hi, not sure if you are UK based or USA based. I have had my kindle touch here in the UK since Christmas and it works fine. I suggest a hardboot and calmly try again. Press the little on/off button continuously for about 30 seconds for a full hardboot. Then calmly retry. Hope this works. If not go to your internet provider for help not the Amazon kindle helpline. x

It's not a kindle or internet service provider problem - it's purely a case of not realising which password is needed to connect to the wifi router ... as Rojash and TheNovice have already said.
