thanks for that link, it says theres no reported problems in my area though. Hmmmm
Have a look up in the 800s - sometimes 'lost channels' have mysteriously moved up there ...
I'd switch everything off at the wall and start again..........it usually works for me.
Hope it's not the same for you but when that happened at my woman's place we ended up slinging what had been decent working TVs. They'de messed about with the frequencies the same time they'd turned off the analogue signal. Of course they aren't going to pay for the trouble they cause.

What sort of retune diid you try ? A simple find & add, or a reset and scan afresh ? Sometimes the latter works better than the former.

Aside from that the only other thing I can suggest is try another freeview box to see if the probelm lies in the signal reception or the box. If it's the reception it could be a connection or cable fault.
(1) Switch of tv, not standby (2) Switch off at mains for about 45 seconds (3) Switch on mains and stch off any auxillaries e.g. DVD recorder or othe using their hand-sets (4) Switch on TV. IF if this fails put TV to BBC1 then goto Menu and find "Installaton". Then goto "Factory Settings". OK this and have patience. For a while it won't find anything, then the avaible channels and signal strength will reset all (anout 90). You will have to reset "Favourites" and name these e.g. "FAVS 1". Good Luck.
To add to above: if neither option works you got problems. Finally make sure all Scarts and plug-ins are secure. If nothing I have suggested, get local paper and find cheap "little man" repairer. But if you can get most channels then "set top-box should be OK. Forget retune. Factor Reset should work. But the will give you all the availble rubbish. If you cannot set favourite channels yourself get friend or "little man" from press or friend' recommendation.
Sorry: typos. Factory for "Factor" and "that will ..etc". And end should be "friend's recommendation of cheap local man or woman. However boxes do burn out and require replacement. Let us know how you get on for our education if we have failed you.

I've just done the factory reset and iv got everything back apart from channel 1 with brilliant signal, it was pixilating and squeaking terribly before, but i have noticed the cable that runs from the telly into the wall is slightly bent so im going to go and buy a new one to see if that helps. You've all been very helpful thank you so much :o)
