Tivo Remote Record (Virgin Media tv)

I have the app on my mobile phone that allows me to set recordings on the Tivo box - very useful it is too.

I have all the guides available but cannot find out if this will work whilst I am abroad (the Tivo will be at home).

I am thinking that the tv guide might be blocked on a non-UK IP address.

Does anyone know?

I've just checked the accessing the Virgin Media TV guide on my PC using a proxy server that changes the Country my IP is displaying.....

I can successfully access the Virgin Media site, but yet if I try watch something on BBC iPlayer it tells me I'm not allowed as I'm outside the UK.

As such I would conclude that you will be ok to use the Guide App on your phone abroad.
