Saving Pics

I am running Windows 7 & Picasa 3. I am trying to save a pic sent to me in an email, I'm right clicking on the picture & clicking save to, when I check the pic a message says Windows unable to open this file. Please can anyone help ?.

I think if you look at the the format the pic has been saved as by the sender e.g. PNG or whatever, you need to change it to jpeg in order to open. someone may have a better idea or explanation, I hope it helps though

thanks for your reply headwreck. Do you know how I can find the format ? I cannot access the sender.

hi Ron, speaking from my own experience, I'm on gmail, the format is beside the picture, I'm looking at one now (a photo e-mailed to me) for instance and it reads IMAG0277.jpg, it's the 3 letters after the image you should look out for. when you right click, can you get a copy image prompt, copy it to pictures and save in pictures
