Can you help, please?

Occasionally I receive emails which include pictures but the latter appear as empty boxes with a red cross in the corner. However, if I click on "Forward" in order to edit the message, the picture is visible! The picture must be attached correctly, so why doesn't it appear when I originally open the message?!

There is obviously something slightly wrong with my PC setup but what?

Difficult to say as your so secretive. How about telling us which e-mail client you use?

Hardly a secret - it's Hotmail.

What happens if you then Forward them to yourself ?
