Following on from my question yesterday re telephone handsets, we have just purchased a set of four, the handset which is just plugged into a mains socket on the third floor of our townhouse is saying out of range. do you think it is saying this because the base set on the ground floor isnt strong enough to send it a signal to work?

oh no, how do i solve that then?
extension socket for telephone line to middle floor and plug base in there, then hand sets should work on floor above and below.

ahhh, problem solved. There was something wrong with the handsets, they were the last ones in store. We have used a filter in the main bt box and all is now well with the world at last. Thanks for all your help!
