Which e-mailing programme do you use, or would recommend?

I have always used the Incredimail without any real problems, however, after my recent question on 'highlighting & deleting blocks of e-mails all at once' (something I used to be able to do but longer can), I received a reply saying to steer clear of using Incredimail.

What are your views on this please?

I use Eudora - the sponsored version 'cos my hubby won't pay for it.
It's pretty good & easy to use.
Only problem is writing long letters. I tend to type in Word than cut and paste, but Eudora adds lots of irritating symbols. I still use word and send as an attachment.

I've been using the Internet for about 7 years and used all kinds of different e-mail clients (web-based and non-web-based).

My favourite by far is GMail.

Out of the 3 email programs I use (Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail) Gmail is what i would recommend as it now has 2Gb of storage, and it's free! Its spam blocking service is very efficient too and you can trust it better than any other email provider. Its storage space is more than all the other email providers put together.

Hi smudge, I attempted to send you a message this morning, but ended up sending it to brawburd. (type incredimail in Category Search for explanation!)

This program has been a hotbed of dispute for a few years now - is it spyware or not? Well whatever it is there is no doubt it cause a lot of problems. Computers have crashed over and over (mine included) all manner of nasties, changed settings etc. and it's a devil to remove, but it will be safer if you do. A fun program with sinister undertones is how it's best described. One link to make you think: http://home.earthlink.net/~doniteli/index74.htm

I've used www.elvis.com for a couple of years and even though is not free now still a good program. Gmail is well worth looking at.

Thank you all for your replies.

Cetti - I read your reply to me on brawburd's post. I've also read the comments on 'earthlink' - a tad worrying to say the least! I shall take a look at the 'elvis' & Gmail ones too. Thanks again.
