If it is anything like the USB port on the back of a Sky box, the answer is nothing.

on a humax box its used for reading cards ie i can download a film from internet and stick it on memory card and it plays on tv through humax also photos and music can be put on the box with it and also humax updates, isn't it same on the sky box?
