You can go to a number of toner refill shops, thats about as cheap as it gets, however saving is relative. In my, limited, experience the ink isn't as good and seems to last far less time.

I agree with Davethedog. I do quite a lot of printing and have tried quite a few of the cheaper brands and refills and have gone back to my original and get much more out of it. It goes back to the old saying you get what you are willing to pay for buy cheap you get cheap.

Most of the 'cheapo' suppliers seem to be charging at least as much for their 'third party' inks as IJT Direct charge for original Canon ink (via Amazon). So there seems to be little point in buying the so-called 'cheap' inks:
