I am doing a 2000 word essay and an jumping around a lot. Im not too clever with page breaks and tabs, but ususally can manage. However, in this essay, lines going across the page appear in the middle of pages, and it may be page breaks, but Im only guessing. Can anyone suggest how to get rid? They wont delete.
If you are using MS Word then if you click the symbol that looks like a very dark reversed letter 'P' this will show all spaces, paragraph markers, page breaks etc. On my PC it is on the top menu bar next the box showing the zoom setting.
Thanks. I use that symbol a lot. What i need is to get rid of the lines, close together, that run across the page from one side to the other inbetween paragraphs. Can you help?
If you can't fix it you may just have to cut and paste the text bits into another document. If it is only a few thousand words that should not take long.
Double dotted lines are normally Section Breaks if you are using MS Word. To remove, if you've got the formatting symbol showing, move your cursor to the point that you wish to delete and press the delete button.
