Printer to laptop

I was able to print from my laptop perfectly well until we changed our ISP .I know somebody adjusted the laptop for the new ISP but since then I have not been able to print from my laptop.It probably is something very simple but I cannot make it work.Can anybody help please \?

I assume we have to guess what version of windows, which printer, how it's connected, or in fact any information that would help answer this.
