Just had a problem with a cable in the wall leading to a spur socket. It appeared to be loose and when I looked the live cable was split and reattached about half way down down the wall. It seems it was connected very loosely and keeps coming apart. What is the best thing to you use to attach the cables before I replaster the hole. It will need to be small as the cavity isn't too big.

thx

If you can't run a new live cable the best bet would be to use a 15 amp connector block and tape it up with electrical tape.
