Lots of help please (AGAIN)

I previously wrote this question before and it wasn't much help. Is there anyone else who can answer it. I have been on the Microsoft help site and I couldn't find an answer. I need to know esacly what to do.

I keep getting this message when I try and install something from a CD-ROM. It stops me and I can't get past it: 16 bit Windows Substream. C:WindowsSystem32AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.........Close..........Ignore.

What does this mean? What shall I do?

found this by simply typing in 'C:WindowsSystem32AUTOEXEC.NT' into google.hopefully it will help you.

'Your Windows XP system file 'AUTOEXEC.NT' is damaged. You will need to fix this. There are 2 solutions below:

1.) You may be able to fix the autoxexc.nt file with the xp system file checker.

Click 'Start' and click on 'Run'.
In the Run box type: sfc /scannow
Click OK and let it run. It may ask you to put your xp cd in the cd rom drive.

After it runs, try to install from CD again

2.) If the above doesn't work you will need to contact Microsoft. Tell them the error message and say it is 'Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 324767'. Here is the URL:
