is it possible to change cable broadband provider

I am on Virgin media cable broadband (no TV don't want one in any shape or form) are there other cable providers or are virgin media the only ones (and their not as inocent as their name implies more like bloody crooks)

Nope..... if you have cable you use virgin (unless you happen to live in Hull)

the only other option is broadband over a BT phone line, and trust me they can be just as big crooks!!

Virgin are the only cable providers, unless you live in Hull

At least with Virgin cable you should get the speed you pay for, and not 'up to'.

It doesn't make any difference how far away you live from an exchange.

What problems are you having?

yes speed is good my main issue is the way they carry on in general I was overcharged by 50 £ because of thier error and spents hours over a period of 6 months arguing to some damn indian guys I could hardly understand that I WANTED MY MONEY BACK, i was promised 50 £ for refering a friend but of course having got my 50 £ sorted out it was too late to deal with what they had promised me as comission and they told me to get lost, now my 1st year is over I'm paying 15 £ more a month so a change may be good perhaps they have a better plan

Yes BT can be crooks too they wanted 124 £ to flick a switch at the exchange with the exscuse that as my line had been out of use for a couple of years and with the privatization of telepnone companies bla bla bla - i told them to get lost, it started out that they reckoned I didn't have a line and that it needed putting in but having explained that I had a line they still wanted 124 £ so I told them to get lost

Well if you don't want to pay BT to put a line in, and you don't want Virgin, your only other option is a mobile dongle, and that won't be satisfactory in many ways
