Gradual slowing of Internet

We are on Dialup (no Broadband here!) When we first go on the speed is reasonable, but as we visit our usual sites the time taken gets slower and slower, until sites become no longer available. They are 'timed out'. If we log out and then back in the process starts again. Have run AVG, Spybot and Dfender, no problems reported. Any ideas? TIA.

What happens if you don't log out, but simply close and reopen your browser?

Have you looked at the task manager when it is running slow?

Have a look at the amount of memory your browser is using

Logging out of the Browser has no effect. Have removed all Temp internet files, cookies, passwords etc, It still gets slower and slower.
Will have a look a the other things. Ta.
PS. The download speed stays fairly constant so it is not them!
No real help, but I am on broadband and I too have that problem. I also have all the things you should have as you do.

Mine slows to the point where I have no pages come up and I have no choice but to reboot, and then it's OK again.

As near as I can make it out, it is not a virus or spyware causing it, but some kind of system malfunction - when I reboot as I shut down, it closes another "program" to close too what I don't know except that it is to do with the system.
