domain name renewal

I have just received a bill from my web hosting company for two years domain name renewal. Is this a usual thing? As my charges are pretty cheap 5/month, I suppose I couldn't argue it's in with the monthly cost.
Only thing is my present host email set up is diabolical, spam x 100s every day. I have complained but get nowhere. So I am thinking of moving soon, would now be the best time, or can I transfer the domain etc to another host easily in future?. Any recommendations, its just a basic site with a company email name facility.

The domain name and its costs are separate to the web hosting costs. The web hosting costs will be the monthly ones, and the domain name renewal happens once every year or few years.

You can keep registering your domain with any company you like. You can also freely change who hosts your domain name whenever you like too.

If you want to do this, you'll have to find another host, buy a hosting plan, and then point your DNS records to their DNS servers (you'll do this in your domain name setup area, with whoever you registered the domain with).
If you need to renew your domain means you can just try to reach here by use this http://www.xnynz.com/ link and got renew at more easily...
