I am toying with the idea of having adverts on my website, and using Google AdSense to supply the links. Has anyone had experience of this? Does it bring in enough revenue to justify the trouble of being involved with the Inland Revenue?

They're very easy to set up, and since I was using them on my personal site I didn't have to get involved with the IRS (since they're american). However, if you're using it on a company website, you may (I'm not sure, but somewhere when you sign up explains it).

If you want ads, then they're the best way to go.

As for revenue: well that depends how popular your site is. They're just ads, and you only get paid for people clicking on them. If you don't have many visitors, or even have lots of visitors but they aren't clicking the ads, then you won't get much money.
